Be the Next Langmuir Lecturer!

You could be one of two deserving recipients of the 2015 Langmuir Lectureship award. The ACS Division of Colloid and Surface Chemistry and Langmuir are currently soliciting nominations for the 2015 Langmuir Lecturers. Each Langmuir Lecturer will deliver a plenary lecture in a special session of the Colloid and Surface Chemistry Division program at the 2015 ACS Fall National Meeting in Boston. The Lecturers will each receive a $3,000 honorarium, a plaque, free ACS Fall National Meeting registration, and travel reimbursement. Lecturers will be expected to submit a lecture manuscript for publication in Langmuir, subject to peer review. Submit your nomination today!

Submission Guidelines
Nominations for the 2015 Langmuir Lecturers should include:
  • Nomination letter that provides insight into the impact of the individual’s research accomplishments. The letter should also address the ability of the nominee to give a dynamic lecture to a broad audience.
  • Seconding letter from another individual who is familiar with the nominee’s work.
  • 5-page CV that should include: education, appointments, honors and awards, a list of up to 25 relevant publications, short description of highlights of research activities.
  • Tentative Langmuir Lecture title and abstract. The title and abstract provided will be used by the Editor-in-Chief of Langmuir as a tentative title and abstract for the basis of a Feature Article.
Selection Process
Winners will be selected by a four-member committee consisting of two individuals selected by the Editor-in-Chief of Langmuir and two selected by the Chair of the Colloid and Surface Chemistry Division.
