  • Overview

Many assay methods described in the U.S. and European Pharmacopoeias rely on the accuracy and simplicity of titration. However, the majority of APIs, intermediates and starting materials are only weakly acidic or weakly basic, therefore, their solubility makes titration challenging. Analytical labs often resort to complex HPLC methods to analyze final products that come in many forms; such as ointments, tablets, and lotions. A titration using non-aqueous solvents is a more reliable and accurate alternative to these LC methods. In this webinar you will learn about the significant advantages of non-aqueous titration for assay determination. We will also explore solvent selection and its relationship with pKa/pKb values, electrode selection and titration parameter optimization.
