  • Overview

The ability to rapidly measure the elemental concentration of individual cells, as well as the distribution in concentration throughout the cell population, has been a limiting factor in life science applications focusing on uptake rates, bioavailability, and bioaccumulation for drug delivery and toxicity assessment. Traditional methods for measuring uptake rates can be a time-consuming process with long instrument analysis and sample preparation time, often leading to qualitative or population-averaged results missing information about the heterogeneity and complexity of a cell population.
