Announcing the ACS Nano - Kavli Futures Symposium: "Mapping the Intersection of the Microbiome and Precision Medicine" Date: March 30, 2017 Venue: California NanoSystems Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles We at ACS Nano are augmenting our efforts to lay out the challenges and opportunities for nanoscience, nanotechnology, and related fields with a regular series of small meetings at the frontiers of specific areas of science, engineering, and medicine. The first such meeting will be held at the California NanoSystems Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles and will focus on the intersection of precision medicine and the microbiome. An extraordinary international team of senior scientists has been assembled for this three-day workshop. One day will be an open symposium and the other two days will be discussions of the core group, which will then be laid out in an article in ACS Nano later in 2017. We look forward to seeing you there! |
ACS Nano Junior Fellows We have room and support for a small number of junior faculty, clinicians, postdocs, and senior graduate students from these fields as ACS Nano Junior Fellows. As with ACS Nano lectureship awards, we will be looking for representation from the Americas, Asia/Pacific, and Europe/Africa/Middle East regions. Each Junior Fellow will be mentored by one of the senior attendees. Please send your nominations to acsnano@acs.org in the form of a simple biography or curriculum vitae and supporting letter(s); self-nominations are allowed. Review of applications will begin on February 7 and will continue until all positions are filled. |
