We are delighted to announce the three winners of the 2017 ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award. The awards recognize early career (first 10 years or less) investigators' research contributions to green chemistry, green engineering, and sustainability in the chemical enterprise from three geographic regions.

Energy Lab
For the Americas, Dr. Gregg T. Beckham of the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory honored for his research contributions in lignin valorization and cellulase enzyme structure-function relationships.
Prof. Jinlong Gong
Tianjin University
For Asia/Pacific, Prof. Jinlong Gong of Tianjin University honored for development of chemical technologies for sustainable hydrogen production and CO2 capture and conversion, and green approaches for self-assembly of multicomponent hybrid nanostructures.
Dr. Helen F. Sneddon
GlaxoSmithKline
For Europe/Middle East/Africa, Dr. Helen F. Sneddon of GlaxoSmithKline honored for developing and implementing greener solvent and reagent guides, and developing greener approaches to drug discovery.
In partnership with the ACS Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Division, the winners will be honored in a symposium at the 253rd ACS National Meeting in San Francisco, California, April 2−6, 2017.
