"Advances in Biosensor Technologies for Infection Diagnostics

Infectious diseases continue to challenge global health, as evidenced by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Effective combat against infectious diseases requires concerted, multidisciplinary efforts, ranging from understanding pathogenesis and host responses to advancing key biomarkers and their detection systems. The Special Issue highlighted exciting new breakthroughs made in diagnostic technologies that transcend conventional lab-oriented tests.

In this Journal Club, senior authors in this Issue critically reviewed the capabilities of their approaches and shared insights for future improvements.
