Thermal Degradation Studies on PLA Sample (TG-FTIR)
Brought to you by Bruker Optics
Overview
APLA, polyactic, acids are found in many commercial packaging products for consumer use.

These acids are created by bacteria naturally occurring in nature and can be used to help create end- products that are biodegradable that can help reduce the harmful effects of greenhouse gases.

Key Objectives:

  • How to identify various gases during thermal decomposition using FTIR spectroscopy
  • How PLA (polyactic acids) can help create end-products free of environmentally hazardous materials
  • Focus on nature to help reduce greenhouse gases
