Overview

Pharma and Biotech companies are increasingly developing and applying innovative capabilities to make better molecules faster. Many enabling chemistries and technologies have been developed to improve the access to target molecules with expanded chemical diversity. Parallel medicinal chemistry (PMC) is a way to use the advantages of combinatorial chemistry in a manner that provides a more focused approach to target molecules. This results in a more concentrated set of compounds, making the process of lead selection easier.

PMC can shorten the turnaround time of the design-synthesis-test cycle, and it can provide more compounds with limited scaffolds by using streamlined workflows and accumulated parallel synthesis knowledge. New technologies in catalyst/kit screening, photoredox, microscale synthesis, and purification technology applied in PMC to enhance the speed, diversity and novelty of the compounds for testing. Attend this webinar to learn more about recent advances in parallel medicinal chemistry. Through case studies, we will highlight effective applications of PMC to accelerate the process of lead candidate selection.
