ChemiRxiv, Preprints, and the Library Webinar: Wednesday, June 22, 2022 | 12:00 PM EDT
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22, 2022 – 12:00 PM EDT | 9:00 AM PDT | 6:00 PM CEST
Join Dr. Ben Mudrak of ChemRxiv, Alyssa Young of James Madison University, and Sue Cardinal of the University of Rochester in this webinar on ChemRxiv, preprints, and the library.

ChemRxiv is a free preprint server focusing on the latest research in chemistry and related fields. Ben Mudrak will give a brief overview of preprints and ChemRxiv, including the goals for launching the service and how preprints fit into the larger publishing process.

Preprints can be used as a teaching tool. Alyssa Young will share how she has introduced preprints in undergraduate courses at James Madison University and the students' reception to them.

Preprints also serve an important scholarly communication function for faculty. Sue Cardinal will share an introduction to the broader ecosystem of preprints and how faculty at the University of Rochester use them.

After the presentations, a live Q&A will conclude the webinar.
