The Benefits of Measuring Pesticides with Low-Pressure Gas Chromatography and Triple-Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry Enhanced with Short Collision Cell Technology
Brought to you by JEOL USA
Overview

In this paper, a method combining low-pressure gas chromatography and triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry is described for fast analysis of pesticides. Additional benefits of using a triple-quadrupole MS system equipped with a short collision cell are discussed, and data for analysis of 244 pesticides is presented.

Key Objectives:
  • Learn how LPGC can separate pesticides much faster than a traditional GC column with a similar efficiency.
  • Discover how short collision cell technology can enhance detection of pesticides separated by LPGC.
  • Improve pesticide analysis time 50% compared to traditional GC separation.
